DESCRIPTION

Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI) is proud to host a high-level side event at the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80). This convening will bring together thought leaders, policymakers, civil society actors, multilateral institutions, and regional stakeholders to explore the evolving civic and democratic landscape in Africa. The discussions will address the complex interplay between governance challenges, security threats, and democratic resilience across the continent. It will examine how democratic institutions can be strengthened to withstand authoritarian pressures, foster inclusive participation, and promote durable peace and sustainable development.
